Ravi Teja’s ‘Irumudi’ Crosses Rs 100 Crore Milestone Globally as Day 5 Collections Remain Steady

The momentum for Ravi Teja’s latest action-packed venture, Irumudi, shows no signs of slowing down. Despite the typical weekday slump, the film maintained a strong presence at the box office on its fifth day, showcasing the enduring appeal of the actor and the film’s gripping narrative.

Consistent Performance Amidst Minor Dip

According to the latest data from Sacnilk, Irumudi recorded a steady performance on its first Tuesday, earning an estimated Rs 12.20 crore in India net collections. This marks a marginal dip of just 1.2% compared to Monday’s earnings of Rs 12.35 crore. The film’s ability to hold onto its audience is further highlighted by the increase in screenings; the movie ran in 3,292 shows on Tuesday, up from 2,733 the previous day, maintaining an overall occupancy rate of 62.3%.

With this latest haul, the film’s total domestic net collection has successfully crossed the Rs 75 crore mark, sitting at Rs 75.05 crore.

Driving Forces and Regional Breakdown

The Telugu version remains the primary engine behind the film’s commercial success, contributing Rs 12.17 crore from 3,184 shows. Occupancy for the Telugu screenings reached a healthy 64%, while the Tamil version added Rs 3 lakhs from 108 shows.

Audience engagement saw a significant spike as the day progressed. While morning shows kicked off with 33.62% occupancy, the interest intensified by the evening, with night shows recording a robust 79% attendance.

Regionally, the film continues to dominate in its core markets. Andhra Pradesh and Telangana led the charts with a contribution of Rs 12.50 crore toward the day’s gross, followed by Karnataka (Rs 1.10 crore), Tamil Nadu (Rs 20 lakhs), and Kerala (Rs 1 lakh).

A Major Global Milestone

The strong performance extends beyond domestic borders. With an additional Rs 1.50 crore earned from international territories on its fifth day, the film’s cumulative overseas gross has climbed to Rs 16.50 crore. When combined with its India gross collection of Rs 87.05 crore, the Irumudi box office collection has officially surpassed the prestigious Rs 100 crore worldwide mark, currently standing at an impressive Rs 103.55 crore.

Narrative Reception

While the film is a commercial success, critical reception has been mixed regarding its storytelling structure. Reviewers have noted that while the second half effectively unravels the film’s emotional core and resolves the conflicts of the protagonist, Trinadha, the first half faces challenges with a slightly scattered narrative. The introduction of multiple antagonists creates tension, though their individual motivations remain somewhat ambiguous initially. Nevertheless, the film’s high-octane action and Ravi Teja’s performance continue to draw large crowds to theaters.
