Manoj Bajpayee Expands Real Estate Portfolio with Rs 1.37 Crore Land Acquisition Near Lonavala
Renowned Bollywood actor Manoj Bajpayee has further solidified his real estate footprint in Maharashtra. According to official property registration documents recently accessed by CRE Matrix, the acclaimed performer has acquired a sprawling 4.45-acre (1.80-hectare) parcel of agricultural land in the scenic Mulshi taluka near the popular hill station of Lonavala.
The Deal Details
The property, located in Tailbail village within the Pune district, was purchased for a consideration value of Rs 1.37 crore. The transaction was officially registered on August 25, 2026. Financial records indicate that Bajpayee fulfilled his fiscal obligations regarding the purchase by paying Rs 6.86 lakh in stamp duty, alongside a registration fee of Rs 30,000.
The seller of the agricultural plot has been identified as Vimalchand Khimraj Jain. As of the time of reporting, neither the actor’s representatives nor the seller have issued a public comment regarding the transaction.
A Growing Real Estate Portfolio
This latest acquisition is a continuation of Bajpayee’s strategic investment in high-value properties. The veteran actor, whose career spans over three decades with iconic performances in films like Satya, Gangs of Wasseypur, Aligarh, and Bhonsle, has increasingly diversified his assets. His recent success in digital streaming, particularly his celebrated portrayal of Srikant Tiwari in the hit series The Family Man, has coincided with major moves in the commercial real estate market.
In 2023, Bajpayee made headlines for a substantial commercial investment in Mumbai. He purchased four office units in the Signature Building, located off Veera Desai Road in Oshiwara, for a combined total of Rs 32 crore. That transaction, which saw him pay Rs 1.86 crore in stamp duty, reflects a broader trend among Bollywood A-listers—including Amitabh Bachchan, Kajol, and Ajay Devgn—who are increasingly securing their wealth in prime commercial and lifestyle real estate.
Why Mulshi?
The Mulshi-Lonavala belt has emerged as a premier hotspot for celebrities and high-net-worth individuals seeking refuge from the urban grind of Mumbai and Pune. Known for its breathtaking natural landscapes, the region surrounding the Mulshi Dam offers a serene environment perfect for second homes and weekend retreats.
The area’s rising popularity is driven by its low-density landscape and excellent connectivity to major metropolitan hubs. By acquiring land in this region, Bajpayee is tapping into a market that continues to see significant appreciation as demand for lifestyle-oriented agricultural plots grows. With this new addition, the actor reinforces his position as both a cinematic powerhouse and a savvy investor in Maharashtra’s booming property landscape.
