Heartbreak in Telangana: Man Dies from Electric Shock Days Before Raksha Bandhan

RANGAREDDY, TELANGANA – The festive spirit of Raksha Bandhan has turned into a scene of profound grief for a family in the Shadnagar area of Rangareddy district. What should have been a time of celebration and family bonding was shattered by a tragic accident that claimed the life of a 24-year-old man.

The victim, identified as Jamalpur Naveen, was a resident of the Nehru Nagar Colony. Naveen operated a local mutton shop situated near the Chatanpally railway gate. On August 26, the young man encountered a technical issue with the power supply at his place of business and took it upon himself to resolve the problem.

Tragedy struck when, during his attempts to restore electricity to the shop, Naveen accidentally came into contact with a live current. The resulting electric shock caused him to collapse immediately.

Witnessing the incident, locals in the vicinity rushed to assist the young man, transporting him urgently to a nearby hospital. However, despite their frantic efforts, medical professionals declared him dead upon arrival.

The news of Naveen’s untimely passing sent shockwaves through the local community, leaving his family and friends in a state of inconsolable mourning. The timing of the disaster made the loss even more poignant, as the nation prepared to observe Raksha Bandhan, a festival specifically centered on the bond between brothers and sisters.

In an emotionally harrowing final farewell, Naveen’s sister, Poojitha, paid her last respects in a manner that left onlookers in tears. As his body was prepared for the final rites, she placed a rakhi upon his lifeless wrist—a final symbolic gesture of love for her brother.

The scene at the funeral procession served as a grim reminder of the fragility of life. Family members and relatives, who had gathered in the anticipation of a festive reunion, were instead left to grapple with the sudden and devastating void left by the young man’s passing.
