CNN halted for breaking alert – and it’s bad news for Donald Trump | TV & Radio | Showbiz & TV

CNN was halted for a breaking news update as they revealed polls that showed US President Donald Trump’s actions to start the war with Iran were wildly unapproved by the public. The exclusive figures showed that the American leader’s popularity was quickly diminishing.

The newsreader told viewers: “We have new CNN polling showing how the country feels about this war. Just a third of Americans approve of how the president is handling his role of commander in chief, as well as the war. Two thirds disapprove of the decision to take military action in Iran, and strong opposition has grown 12 points since the start of the war. 63% of Americans say that they believe it’s likely that the war will turn into a long term military conflict. Nearly 7 in 10 oppose sending U.S. Ground troops into Iran. 71% say they don’t want congress to authorise $200 billion for further military action in Iran.”

Fans watching seemed to agree with the poll figures as they took to social media to share their thoughts.

One viewer fumed: “Difficult to believe 1/3 of the country believes Trump acted appropriately. How do they judge that? He’s asleep in meetings. Can’t remember half of what he says. And refuses to admit Iran was no threat.”

Another said: “Americans are NOT down with Trump, or his illegal war,” while a third added: “Surprised it’s as high as a third. How low their expectations for anything in life must be.”

However, others hit out at the polls being “rigged”. One person said: “CNN’s rigged poll claims two-thirds oppose Trump’s Iran strikes. His precision victory crushed the threat fast without their endless war nightmare.”

As another raged: “Same polls that said Kamala would win? Lol CNN stands for clown network news.”

Just yesterday, CNN also showed the US leader’s “record-breaking” disapproval ratings live on air following the results of a poll for the channel.

The chief data analyst, Harry Eten, told viewers: “This is no April Fool’s joke, this is a disaster. All these numbers are a disaster for President Trump. Let’s talk about inflation, which is the name of the game…”

On the screen behind him were images of Trump, his predecessor Joe Biden and former President Jimmy Carter, with the latter having disapproval ratings of 68 per cent and 66 per cent respectively.

However, Eten revealed that Trump’s rating was worse, at a staggering 72 per cent. Eten shared: “Donald Trump is even worse than they are – so you see it here. And the one phase is, ‘Oh my goodness gracious, what a disaster.’”
