US abortion giant Planned Parenthood performed 434,450 abortions in 2023-24.
The Charlotte Lozier Institute calculated that the figures are eight per cent higher than 2022-2023 and show a 34 per cent increase in Planned Parenthood deaths by abortion since 2014.
The abortion giant’s balance sheet for 2023-24 revealed over $2.1 billion in income, $2.5 billion in net assets, and almost $800 million in taxpayer funding.
Telemedicine
In its annual report ‘Care Continues’, the organisation complained that Government measures “blocking patients from using Medicaid” for Planned Parenthood services put 200 abortion clinics “at risk of closure”.
More women “will be forced to stay pregnant because abortion is out of reach”, it said, but pledged “to do everything possible” to help ‘people’ have an abortion.
In 24 states, Planned Parenthood boasted, its affiliates “provide medication abortion through telemedicine, reducing the need for patients to travel long distances” for an abortion.
Murder charge
Last month, a Georgian woman was charged with murder after a failed late-term abortion allegedly caused her daughter to die an hour after birth.
Alexia Moore, 31, reportedly went to hospital with abdominal pain after taking the abortion drugs, where she gave birth to a baby girl.
According to the arrest warrant, Moore told a nurse at the hospital: “I know my infant is suffering, because I am the one who did the abortion. I want her to die.”
The warrant explained: “By intentionally ingesting high doses of misoprostol at 22-24 weeks of gestation and introducing illegal oxycodone into the infant’s system, Moore committed an unlawful act that directly resulted in the infant’s respiratory failure and death.”
