First Trailer for ‘Evil Dead Burn’ Premieres at CinemaCon

TEMPO.CO, Jakarta – The first trailer for the horror film Evil Dead Burn was shown at CinemaCon in Las Vegas, Nevada, offering an early look at the latest installment in the Evil Dead film franchise.

According to Variety‘s report, cited Antara, on Tuesday, April 14, the teaser trailer for the film shows a mother witnessing a living corpse with severed fingers and a car headrest piercing its skull.

Then, flashbacks show a horrific car accident and a car door slamming and severing a girl’s fingers. A living corpse comes to a house, terrorizing its residents.

Evil Dead Burn, directed by Sebastien Vanicek, is the sixth film in the Evil Dead series and the third standalone film after 2013’s Evil Dead and 2023’s Evil Dead Rise.

The film continues the franchise’s new approach of handing the reins over to up-and-coming filmmakers. After his directorial debut with 2024’s Infested, series creator Sam Raimi tapped Vanicek.

The film Evil Dead Burn, written by Vanicek and Florent Bernard, continues the franchise’s shift toward standalone stories centered on new characters who confront supernatural forces connected to the “Book of the Dead.”

Scheduled to premiere in U.S. theaters on July 24, 2026, the film stars Souheila Yacoub, Hunter Doohan, Luciane Buchanan, Tandi Wright, and George Pullar.

Sam Raimi is producing Evil Dead Burn alongside Rob Tapert under the Ghost House Pictures banner. Original film star Bruce Campbell and Evil Dead Rise director Lee Cronin are serving as executive producers.

Sony will handle the international distribution of the film, which was funded by New Line Cinema and Sony Pictures. A sequel, Evil Dead Wrath, is being prepared for release in 2028.
