A local Welsh business owner has taken to social media to apologise after posting a video featuring Nigel Farage. On Thursday, April 16, the politician visited Merthyr Tydfil alongside Reform UK’s Welsh leader Dan Thomas as part of the Senedd election campaign.
After speaking to reporters Mr Farage made his way up the town’s High Street, first popping into the Haystack café which is run by owner Liam Lazarus.
The restaurant originally launched in Swansea before opening locations in Merthyr Tydfil and Cardiff. When the politician visited the popular brunch spot the owner uploaded a video of the Reform leader which later received backlash from followers.
Mr Lazarus has since deleted the video and uploaded an apology stating he’s lost “thousands of followers”. Full story here
