Emergency services have been battling a blaze at Lynx Gym this morning (7/5).
Rabans Lane will be closed for most of the day.
Smoke from the fire can be seen several miles away, and part of Rabans Lane near the gym has been closed and may remain closed for several hours.
In a social media post earlier this week, Lynx Gym said it would be closed for maintenance on Wednesday and Thursday this week (6 & 7 May).
The advice from the fire service for anyone in the area is to keep doors and windows closed and be prepared for the potential of disruption and smoke affecting visibility on local roads.

Founded on 1 March 1986 by Barbara, Brian, and Chris Adams, Lynx Gymnastics Aylesbury was established with the aim of providing high-quality gymnastics opportunities for children throughout Aylesbury Vale and the wider Buckinghamshire community. Originally known as Aylesbury Gymnastics, the club has grown into Aylesbury’s only purpose-built gymnastics facility, supporting more than 1,000 members ranging from pre-school children and recreational gymnasts to elite competitive athletes.

Over the decades, Lynx has developed a strong reputation within British artistic gymnastics, producing several members of the British women’s national team, including Olympic, World, and European medallists Jessica Gadirova, Jennifer Gadirova, and Ondine Achampong. The club is currently coached by sibling duo Joshua Richardson and Molly-Mae Richardson, with Molly-Mae notably serving as lead coach of the British national team for the 2024 Olympic Games. Training continues at the Lynx Gymnastics Centre, the purpose-built facility that first opened in 1986 and remains at the heart of gymnastics development in the region.
