‘The Art of Living Well Longer’: A wellbeing event at KYN Hurlingham

Some places change the way you think about things. KYN Hurlingham, the acclaimed care and convalescent home tucked into one of London’s most coveted postcodes, is one of them. And this summer, Country Life readers are invited to experience it for themselves.

KYN has been redefining residential, nursing and convalescent care since its first home opened in 2023, built on the simple but radical premise that quality of life is ageless. Conceived from personal experience, its founders asked themselves one question: would they be happy for their own parents to live here? Everything at KYN — from interiors by Nina Campbell and menus crafted by Tristan Welch, to gardens by Randle Siddeley and libraries curated by Heywood Hill — flows from that answer: that exceptional living and world-class nursing care are not a trade-off but a promise. At KYN, the beauty and the clinical rigour are inseparable.

Now, KYN Hurlingham invites you to an intimate afternoon gathering: The Art of Living Well Longer.

Set across an elegant early afternoon and concluding with afternoon tea, this is an event designed for those who understand that proactive wellbeing is among life’s greatest investments.

The afternoon opens with KYN’s own physiotherapist Ronan Briody, whose practical masterclass on movement, joint protection and falls prevention offers guidance with immediate, real-world application. Then Clinical Nutritionist Eva Humphries MSc takes to the floor for Feed the Brain, a genuinely rewarding talk on the foods that sharpen thinking, lift mood and protect cognitive health, with recipe ideas you’ll want to try that same evening.

Suzanne Mumford, Clinical Director and Queen’s Nurse at KYN, will offer an illuminating perspective on the art of living well into later life, making the compelling case that true longevity demands far more than the merely physical, and that emotional fulfilment and social connection are essential to any life gracefully and fully lived.

Guests are also invited to take advantage of complimentary health checks with KYN’s registered nursing team, covering blood pressure, cholesterol, BMI, peak flow and more, delivered with the same quiet expertise that defines life at KYN every day.

Warm, intelligent and restorative, this afternoon reflects everything KYN believes in; that living well longer isn’t a compromise. It’s an art.

The Art of Living Well Longer takes place from 2-530pm on Thursday, July 9th, 2026, at KYN Hurlingham, 28 Daisy Lane, London SW6 3DD. To request an invitation, readers are invited to email katie.ruocco@futurenet.com
