India waives excise duty on petrol with higher ethanol


June 10 (Reuters) – India, the ‌world’s ‌third-largest oil importer ​and consumer, on Wednesday abolished ‌excise ⁠duty on petrol blended ⁠with higher ​levels ​of ​ethanol.

Petrol containing ‌22% to 30% ethanol will be exempt from ‌excise ​duty, ​the ​notification ‌said.
