Merseyside Fire and Rescue Service (MFRS) confirmed to the ECHO that they attended the incident earlier today at the Pier Head in Liverpool.
A spokesperson said: “Crews arrived on scene at 12.35pm following reports of a body in the water. The casualty was recovered by MFRS Marine Fire One boat and then conveyed to the dockside, where the search and rescue team assisted in handing them over to North West Ambulance Service (NWAS).
“Fire crews then left the scene at 1.33pm.”
