NEWS BRIEF: BBC Studios has licensed animated preschool sitcom Nikhil & Jay, from UK distributor Cake, for kids’ brand CBeebies in Poland, South Africa, Asia and India.
The 52×11’ series, produced by King Banana TV (Meet the Experts) and Paper Owl Films (Pablo), follows the adventures of two dual heritage brothers and their loveable family. Nikhil & Jay launched on CBeebies and iPlayer in the UK last year. Cake executive produces and distributes the series, which received funding from Northern Ireland Screen.
