The 17-year-old led police on a dangerous six-mile pursuit in County Durham before being brought to a halt using a stinger
Footage shows the moment a suspected stolen Audi took police on a pursuit reaching speeds of over 140mph. Last month officers from Durham Constabulary’s Roads and Armed Policing unit were alerted to a suspected stolen Audi S5 approaching the Rushyford area.
The driver of the V8 Audi failed to stop and embarked on a pursuit reaching speeds of over 140mph before the suspect vehicle was stung, boxed in and brought to a halt just six miles later.
The 17-year-old driver pleaded guilty to offences including dangerous driving and burglary, and has been remanded in custody, Durham Constabulary confirmed. He is due to be sentenced in October.
