Fire crews from three areas of the county are currently tackling a blaze at a farm just outside Wick.
Personnel from Wick, Thurso and Helmsdale were seen tackling the fire at Lower Milton Farm, around a mile outside Wick, just after 2pm today (March 25).

Fire crew were observed training their hoses on an outbuilding next to a tower silo at the farm as smoke billowed around them. Some were seen wearing breathing apparatus as they directed water hoses towards the centre of the blaze.
One of the fire appliances was seen leaving the site to access a water main located beside the village of Milton, just across the A882 road.

At 3.20pm, a Scottish Fire and Rescue spokesperson said: “There are three appliances there at the moment. There’s one from Wick itself, one from Thurso and another from Helmsdale.
“We got the call at 12.53pm and crews are still at the site at the moment. It’s one of the buildings on the farm estate and we’re dealing with it just now.”
