Earlier, during a candid podcast discussion with the Jonas Brothers, the ‘Bajirao Mastani’ actress expressed her excitement about working on ‘Varanasi’ and with visionary director SS Rajamouli. She revealed, “He called me for this movie and it’s this epic adventure around the world and in time. It has taken a minute but I am so excited about it.”
Shedding a bit more light on her character, Chopra teased, “I do so many amazing slow-motion jumps in it and that’s all I can say about it.” She will be seen portraying the character Mandakini in the film, a role that promises to be packed with action and intrigue.
Mahesh Babu’s Intriguing ‘Rudhra Look’ Revealed
Mahesh Babu’s birthday also brought another exciting update for fans, with the makers of ‘Varanasi’ unveiling his first look as the character Rudhra. The images portray a multifaceted persona, hinting at the depth of his role in the film.

The film boasts a stellar cast, including Malayalam star Prithviraj Sukumaran, who will be seen in the role of the main antagonist, Kumbha. Currently in its production phase, ‘Varanasi’ is being shot with cutting-edge IMAX cameras, promising a visually spectacular cinematic experience. The global adventure is slated for a grand release on April 7, 2027.
