Indian actor Akshay Kumar spoke about language preferences in the film industry, saying he has always taken Hindi as his primary language of communication.

In an exclusive interview, the Sky Force actor said, “In the’90s, even if there was an award night, I always said that I would in Hindi. Generally too, I always speak in Hindi. Even at many of my conclaves, where there are English speakers, I fold my hands and tell them, you speak in English but I will speak in Hindi. That is my comfort.”

He noted that while English was often preferred in the 1990s, actors like himself and Govinda confidently communicated in Hindi, prioritizing comfort over fashion or trend.

The Jolly LLB 3 actor added that for him, language was very around authenticity than public perception.

Rajpal Yadav, who was also present, highlighted that language differences had never caused problems on film sets. 

“Tell me one thing, there are around 250 people on a set. Punjabi, Tamil, Malayalam, Assamese, Bengali, Marathi, Gujarati, everyone is there. It’s a mixture.But in that mixture, there is never a problem with language. Till date, there has never been any issue with communication. Everyone understands cinema and communication,” he said.

On the professional front, Akshay Kumar prepared for his upcoming film Bhoot Bangla,co-starring Paresh Rawal, Tabu, Wamiqa Gabbi, Rajpal Yadav, and late actor Asrani. Directed by Priyadarshan, the film marks their reunion after many years and is produced by Balaji Telefilms and Balaji Motion Pictures.
