Ayushmann Khurrana calls Ranveer ‘lion of Hindi cinema’ after watching Dhurandhar 2


Ayushmann Khurrana has joined the chorus of praise for Ranveer Singh, calling him the undisputed “lion of Hindi cinema” after watching Dhurandhar: The Revenge. The actor was left floored by Ranveer’s powerhouse dual performance and the film’s sheer intensity.

On social media, Ayushmann wrote, “It’s been three days and I can’t get over. #Dhurandhar2 (sic),” praising director Aditya Dhar as “multidimensional of another kind” for mastering every aspect of filmmaking: “If you think he’s just a master of this particular genre, you’re mistaken the beats, the graph, the coolth and the synchronicity between all departments show he can nail ANY genre (sic).”

He reserved his highest praise for Ranveer: “He didn’t just become the lion of Iyaari but the lion of Hindi cinema. The wholesome crazy performance elevated his character beyond the screen.” Ayushmann also lauded the ensemble cast, including Arjun Rampal for his “pure grace,” R Madhavan for his nuanced performance, Sara Arjun for her presence, Sanjay Dutt for his signature swag, Gaurav Gera for being “so endearing,” and Rakesh Bedi for nailing his “foxy character.”
