Merseyside Police launched an investigation
Bones have been found on wasteland behind a former hotel in St Helens. Merseyside Police were called to wasteland behind the former Raven Hotel on Church Street on Thursday (April 9) morning after “old” bones were found by an archaeologist while digging.
Officers were called at around 8.35am and a cordon was put in place. The discovery is currently being analysed to establish whether the bones are animal or human, police said. The cordon was removed at around 4pm on Friday, April 10.
