Busy Waterlooville road closed as emergency services respond to serious crash


Two people have been rushed to hospital following a serious crash in Waterlooville.

Police, paramedics and an air ambulance have all been spotted in the vicinity of a serious crash in Maurepas Way this evening (March 13).

As a result, the road is closed and there is queueing traffic in the area.

“All approaches to the Hulbert Road Roundabout are closed due to an accident on the roundabout.”

A spokesperson for the Hampshire and Isle of Wight Fire and Rescue Service said: “Crews from Havant and Cosham were called to a two-vehicle collision on Hulbert Road at 5.15pm this afternoon.

“Firefighters worked to extricate one casualty who was trapped in one of the vehicles. Two casualties were taken onto hospital by SCAS paramedics.

“Once the scene had been made safe, firefighters returned to station shortly after 6.30pm”

The Hampshire and Isle of Wight Constabulary and the air ambulance have been contacted for more information.
