CNN brought their afternoon show to a halt as it issued a major breaking news alert, which left Donald Trump red-faced. On Friday (April 10), Zain Asher returned to the airwaves to deliver the latest news hitting the headlines. It didn’t take long for things to turn political as the US president hit out at his MAGA critics. Taking to Truth Social, the Republican leader went after big-name conservative media figures for their criticism of his handling of the war in Iran, branding some of his former allies “low IQ!, “losers”, and “nut jobs”.

The 79-year-old politician criticised Tucker Carlson, Megyn Kelly, Candace Owens and Alex Jones, who have all distanced themselves from the US President as conflict in Iran increases. He posted: “They’re losers, just trying to latch onto MAGA. They’re stupid people, they know it, their families know it, and everyone else knows it too!”

He said Carlson “should see a good psychiatrist”, called Owens “crazy”, described Jones as saying “some of the dumbest things”, and referred to Kelly as having “nastily” asked him about his past remarks about comedian Rosie O’Donnell.

After sharing the explosive post with viewers, the broadcaster went on to share a montage of the President praising all those he named and shamed in his recent post over the past few years. In the first clip, he gushed: “I just mentioned a name, but a woman whom I saw the other night on television just ripped some poor idiot apart. Megyn Kelly is here, and she’s doing it. Come up, come up here, Megyn.”

In the next shot, he was being interviewed by Tucker Carlson, during which he interrupted their debate to say: “Are you having a good time? Is he the greatest interviewer?” Next up was a clip from October 2019, where the US leader praised Candace Owens, whom he described as having “star power”. He began: “I watched her, and I saw her coming. I said, ‘You know, I’m pretty good at star power. I’d say that’s a star’.”

The final clip aired on InfoWars back in December 2015, where he told broadcaster Alex Jones: “I will not let you down. You will be very, very impressed.” Jones admitted: “Donald Trump, let me say this: my audience, I’d say 90% supports you. And you definitely have shown your knowledge of geopolitical systems.”

The embarrassing montage clearly displayed the president’s changeable nature, which certainly wasn’t lost on former ally, Piers Morgan. Sharing the awkward clip on X – formerly known as Twitter – he penned: “Trump is attacking them now because they all oppose the Iran war, and have all been increasingly critical of the Israeli government.

“As have Joe Rogan, Theo Von, me and many others who have good relations with Trump. He should stop lashing out and listen to his friends.” It didn’t take long for viewers to flock to the comments to share their thoughts.

One user fumed: “THIS IS NOT THE TRUMP WE VOTED FOR! The Trump we voted for was highly suspicious of Israel, strongly allied with Qatar, supportive of peace with Iran at all costs, and never posted crazy tweets. Instead, we got… this. IMPEACH TRUMP!”

Another agreed: “He clearly stated recently that he likes people who are nice to him (and praise him no matter what) even if they are terrible otherwise. He gave an example of King Jong Un.”

A third chimed in with: “I agree. All of these people actually care (or cared before this post) about Trump and America. They’re trying to knock sense into him. If we lose the next presidential election to the Dems, it will be Trump’s fault.”
