The film is expected to continue the high-octane legacy of its predecessor, building on the intense, action-packed narrative established in part 1.

Dhurandhar: The Revenge, starring Ranveer Singh, is on track to become the highest-grossing Bollywood film of all time, having already crossed the Rs 1,733 crore mark worldwide despite not releasing in major markets such as China and the Gulf. In India alone, the thriller has delivered a massive performance, earning approximately Rs 1,294 cr gross at the domestic box office.

Aditya Dhar’s directorial spy action flick is on the race to overtake the Rs 1800 elite club, cementing its position as one of the top three highest-grossing Indian films of all time. Aamir Khan’s Dangal, released in 2016 sits on top currently with approximate collection of around Rs 2,000 cr worldwide, followed by Baahubali 2: The Conlusion (2017), collecting Rs 1,800 cr worldwide. South action thriller Pushpa 2: The Rule emerged as a massive box office success in 2024, grossing an impressive Rs 1,727 cr worldwide and securing its place among the highest-grossing Indian films. Following it, Dhurandhar continued the momentum in 2025, earning around Rs 1,354 cr globally and ranking among the top earners in Indian cinema.

Dhurandhar 2 is expected to continue the high-octane legacy of its predecessor, building on the intense, action-packed narrative established in Dhurandhar 1. The first film set the tone with its fast-paced storytelling, stylized action sequences, and a powerful central performance, which helped it achieve record-breaking box office success. The story follows Hamza Ali (played by Ranveer Singh), an Indian spy who goes to extreme lengths as an undercover agent while operating in Pakistan. Unlike the traditional spy, Hamza is portrayed as erratic, high-energy, and emotionally volatile. He often uses his perceived “instability” as a weapon to catch enemies off guard.

The film also stars Sanjay Dutt, who is playing the role of a Pakistani police officer, who is tasked to catch Hamza Ali, dead or alive.
