Sony Pictures Networks India has appointed Devika Prabhu as business head – hindi movies. She joins the network after a long stint at The Walt Disney Company.
Prabhu posted about this development on her LinkedIn profile. At Disney, she has spent nearly 18 years, most recently serving as vice president and business head for kids, youth and infotainment TV. In this role, she led the Disney Kids and National Geographic portfolios following the Disney-Fox merger, focusing on strengthening brand presence and monetisation while navigating declining infotainment viewership.
She managed a ₹400 crore P&L and worked across content production, programming, acquisitions, marketing and localisation. Prabhu also collaborated with global teams at Disney and the National Geographic Society, as well as with content licensors and producers.
Before joining Disney, Prabhu was assistant vice president – strategic planning and research at Sony Pictures Networks India (then Multi Screen Media/SET India), where she worked for over seven years.
