New Delhi: Devika Prabhu has joined Sony Pictures Networks India as Business Head, Hindi Movies. Prabhu announced the move in a LinkedIn post, describing it as both a new chapter and a homecoming, as she had worked earlier at SPNI in strategic planning and research.
Prabhu returns to Sony after a long stint at The Walt Disney Company. She exited Disney Star (now JioStar) in November 2024 after 16 years with the company, where she was Business Head for Kids and Infotainment.
She had joined Disney in 2008 as Associate Director of Programming and Acquisitions for the kids’ channels and later rose to oversee the Disney Kids and National Geographic portfolios in India.
Before joining Disney, Prabhu had spent over seven years at Sony Pictures Networks India as Assistant Vice President, Strategic Planning and Research. Her return to the network, therefore, marks a comeback to a company she was associated with earlier in her career.
