‘Dhurandhar: The Revenge’, led by Ranveer Singh, has reached a significant milestone by surpassing Rs 1000 crore at the Indian box office in its Hindi version, establishing itself as one of the most commercially successful recent Hindi films.
Trade analyst Taran Adarsh confirmed this achievement on April 10 via an Instagram post, stating that ‘Dhurandhar 2’ is the first Hindi film to attain the Rs 1000 crore mark in its Hindi version.
The film’s box office success demonstrates sustained dominance over several weeks. In its third week, ‘Dhurandhar 2’ earned Rs 21 crore on Friday, Rs 25 crore on Saturday, Rs 28 crore on Sunday, followed by Rs 10 crore each on Monday and Tuesday, Rs 8 crore on Wednesday, and Rs 7 crore on Thursday. This contributed to a third-week total of Rs 109 crore.
Earlier, the film recorded a strong Week 1 collection of Rs 649 crore (including Wednesday previews and eight days) and collected Rs 251 crore in Week 2, bringing the cumulative total for the Hindi version to Rs 1009 crore.
With this milestone, the ‘Dhurandhar’ franchise holds both the number one and two positions on the list of highest-grossing Hindi films, emphasising its significant box office presence.
Released on March 19, ‘Dhurandhar: The Revenge’ continues to attract notable audience interest at theatres. Directed by Aditya Dhar, the film is a sequel within the ‘Dhurandhar’ franchise and stars Ranveer Singh alongside Sara Arjun, Sanjay Dutt, R. Madhavan, Rakesh Bedi, and Arjun Rampal.
