This is it. The first Indian film ever to score Rs. 1000 crores in just one language is here! Dhurandhar The Revenge achieved that feat yesterday. The film amassed Rs. 7.50 crores, thereby taking its overall total to Rs. 1000.50 crores. One needs to note that the film has earned this number in its Hindi version alone.
What the film collected yesterday is still good for a third Wednesday but then such has been the run of both the Dhurandhar movies that one is used to seeing double digit collections for days and weeks in succession.
No one could have ever imagined such kind of numbers being scored in just three years after the quartet of the Rs. 500 Crore Club films in 2023 (Pathaan, Gadar 2, Jawan and Animal). However, post that there were Stree 2 and Chhaava entering the Rs. 600 Crore Club and Pushpa 2 (Hindi) opening the Rs. 800 Crore Club. That reignited faith in the industry that really big numbers can well be dreamt and after Dhurandhar came close to creating the Rs. 900 Crore Club, Dhurandhar The Revenge has created the Rs. 1000 Crore Club.
