India clears military purchase proposals worth $25 billion


NEW DELHI, March 27 (Reuters) – ‌India’s ‌defence acquisition council ​approved proposals worth 2.38 trillion ‌rupees ($25 ⁠billion) on Friday ⁠to buy medium ​transport ​aircraft, ​Russian S-400 ‌surface-to-air missile systems, and remotely piloted strike ‌aircraft, ​the ​government ​said ‌in a statement.
