The April session of the Joint Entrance Examination (Main) 2026 is scheduled to be conducted from April 2 to April 9, 2026.Once released, candidates will be able to download the city slip by logging in with their application number and date of birth on the official JEE Main portal.

The city intimation slip is issued ahead of the admit card to help candidates plan their travel arrangements if their exam city is different from their place of residence.It is important to note that the city slip is not the admit card. It only informs candidates about the exam city allotted to them, while the exact exam centre address, reporting time, and shift details will be mentioned in the admit card.The JEE Main 2026 Session 2 admit cards are expected to be released a few days before the examination begins.

The registration window for the April session has already closed. Check important dates for session 2 below:

What the city intimation slip will include

The advance city intimation slip typically contains the following details:

  • Allotted exam city
  • Medium of the question paper

However, the specific exam centre address and shift timing will only appear on the admit card.
