‘Large quantity of goods’ stolen from Teesside Asda in overnight break-in

Police investigating a break-in at a Teesside Asda where two individuals made off with a large amount of goods.

The incident occurred at Asda on the Causeway in Billingham at around 2.25am on Saturday, April 11. Two individuals were seen on CCTV forcing entry to the supermarket before leaving with a large quantity of goods, including alcohol and scratch cards.

Police attended and conducted extensive area searches, however, the suspects had left the scene. Enquiries are ongoing, including CCTV work, and officers are urging anyone who may have captured the two men on doorbell or dash cam footage to get in touch.

One man was wearing a grey tracksuit with a black gilet and a black face covering and he was also carrying a duffle bag. The second man was wearing all-black clothing.

Anyone who saw these men in the area matching description are urged to contact Cleveland Police on 101, quoting reference number 067408. Footage can also be uploaded HERE.
