Keeping up with the spirit of the April Fool’s day on Wednesday, a notice named ‘war lockdown notice’ is circulating on social media, only to prank people.

The notice, which seems legit and urgent till it’s not downloaded and opened, features a jester’s image with ‘April Fool’ written on it once opened. It also has an image of India’s national emblem with ‘Satyamev Jayate’ written.
It is imperative to note that the government of India has not made any such announcement.

This April fool’s day prank comes just days after the term ‘lockdown in India 2026’ featured on Google trends last week, particularly after Prime Minister Narendra Modi drew parallels in the Parliament on last Monday, March 23, between the Covid 19 lockdown and the current geopolitical tensions.

The horrors of lockdown still loom large even six years after India was put in complete lockdown towards the end of March in 2020 due to the spread of Covid-19. PM Modi to chair CCS meet today
As the ongoing war in West Asia rages on even in the second month and the oil supply remains disrupted across the world, Prime Minister Narendra Modi will reportedly chair a key meeting of Cabinet Committee on Security (CCS) at 7 pm today, in Delhi.
This is the second such meet in less than 10 days, with the previous one taking place on March 22 over the situation in West Asia amid Iran war.
