Man is injured after firearm is shot in pub in Hove


On Saturday, April 4 at around 10pm, it was reported to police that a firearm had been fired into a pub in Montgomery Street in Hove.

A statement given to The Argus by Sussex Police said: “A man in his 30s sustained a minor injury during the incident, and officers, including an armed response, were deployed to the scene.

“Between Sunday 5 and Monday 6 April, three people from Brighton, man and woman in their 40s and a woman in her 20s, were arrested on suspicion of possessing a firearm with intent to cause fear of violence.

“All have been released on conditional bail as enquiries continue.”

 Superintendent Petra Lazar said: “We recognise this incident will likely cause concern and want to reassure the community that an investigation remains underway.

“Officers are working closely with those affected, as well as conducting a number of wider enquiries.

 “If you believe you have footage or information that could help, it’s important that you come forward.”
