A 90-year-old mum and her daughter have been killed in a car crash, with a man arrested on suspicion of drug driving.
Emergency services were called to White Hill, Rickmansworth, Hertfordshire, around 3pm on Tuesday.
A silver Kia Picanto and a grey BMW 118i M Sport had been involved in the crash, with the passenger of the Kia – a woman in her 90s – pronounced dead at the scene.
Her daughter, aged in her 60s, was airlifted to hospital but died the following night.
A 22-year-old man, from Watford, has been arrested on suspicion of causing death by dangerous driving and drug driving.

DC Dale Morris, from Hertfordshire Constabulary, said: ‘This is a devastating loss of a mother and daughter, and my thoughts are with their loved ones at this incredibly difficult time.
‘Our enquires are ongoing as we continue to establish the full circumstances of the collision.
‘If anyone has any information, or captured any dash cam footage, please report it to the police.’
