The event was a lively celebration of spring, leaving behind memories of what has so far been a dreary year.

Floral art adhered to spring themes, such as ‘Fragile Beauty’ and ‘A Splash of Colour’.

A standout exhibit called ‘Electrical’, from Phil Tandy, claimed the Best in Show title in the men’s category.

Cookery classes were highly praised for their savoury items, along with a rich spread of cakes and sponges.

The judge noted the high standard and her continuous enjoyment of the show.

Children from Western Downland School made more than 90 lovely entries spanning Easter cards, decorated eggs and miniature Easter gardens.

A new class, A Handwritten Passage from The Wind in the Willows with Coloured Illustrations, brought fresh inspiration to the event.

Fordingbridge Co-op funded children’s classes and prizes.

Society president Jane Hall presented the class winners with their prizes.
