On day 14, Ranveer Singh’s blockbuster Dhurandhar: The Revenge inched even closer towards the Rs 1000 crore mark in India nett collections. Dhurandhar 2 collected a nett of more than Rs 20 crore across almost 18,000 shows across the country.
According to Box Office India, at the end of yesterday, its total India net collections stood to Rs 920 crore.
On day 12, Dhurandhar 2 crossed Rs 800 crore nett mark in domestic collections, surpassing the original Dhurandhar’s collection, which was Rs 789.5 crore.
With this feat, Dhurandhar 2 is Ranveer Singh’s second film to create the record of the highest grossing Hindi movie of all time.
Before Dhurandhar duology, Allu Arjun’s Pushpa: The Rule (Hindi) held the record with a domestic nett collection of Rs 738 crore. The film beat 2024 blockbuster Stree 2 by a huge margin.
Needless to say, Dhurandhar 2 swooped in and shattered the record within 15 days of its release, outshining its own prequel.
Overseas, the film’s gross collection was Rs 365 crore on day 14, which brings its total worldwide gross collection to Rs 1,466.47 crore.
On a global level, the film has already surpassed heavyweights Ranbir Kapoor’s Animal, which had collected just Rs 476.84 crore in the same amount of time. It has outdone Yash’s KGF Chapter 2, which had grossed Rs 926.67 crore by day 14.
Dhurandhar has entered the third week with no competition in sight. Aditya Dhar’s directorial is expected to break more records and create new ones.
Dhurandhar 2 is the sequel to Dhurandhar (2025) as it picks up the story of Hamza aka Jaskirat, a secret Indian agent who has been sent to Pakistan for Operation Dhurandhar. Hamza is tasked with paralysing the internal criminal networks in Lyari that are responsible for major terrorist attacks in India.
Apart from Ranveer, the Dhurandhar 2 also stars R Madhavan, Arjun Rampal, Rakesh Bedi, Sara Arjun and others in key roles.
