Story of ‘The Girlfriend’
‘The Girlfriend’ was written and directed by Rahul Ravindran. The romantic drama revolves around Bhooma Devi, played by Rashmika Mandanna. The story follows Bhooma Devi as she falls in love with Vikram portrayed by Dheekshith, a college student. However her life takes a difficult turn when she realises she has been deceived and becomes trapped in a toxic relationship she struggles to escape.

The couple later hosted a grand reception in Hyderabad on March 4, which was attended by close friends and members of the film fraternity. After the reception Vijay and Rashmika posted a heartwarming video montage from the celebration on Instagram. The video shared as a collaborative post captured several beautiful moments from the reception evening.The caption accompanying the video read, “The Reception Evening.
