Chemical manufacturer ReAgent has launched a new charity, the ReAgent Foundation, aimed at supporting organisations that improve lives, expand access to education and protect the natural environment.
The foundation has been established as a registered charity funded by ReAgent, the family-owned chemical manufacturing company, with the goal of channeling the company’s success into wider social and environmental impact.
Through the initiative, the organisation will provide financial donations and volunteer support to charities across England and Wales. Its work will focus on three main areas: supporting people affected by illness or hardship, improving access to education — particularly in science, technology, engineering and maths (STEM) — and helping to conserve wildlife and the environment.
The foundation is funded primarily through ReAgent’s profits, alongside fundraising and volunteering efforts by employees. According to the organisation, the aim is to combine financial backing with practical support to help partner charities achieve greater impact in their communities.
The charity will also work closely with staff across the business, encouraging employees to take part in volunteering activities and fundraising initiatives as part of the company’s wider commitment to community engagement.
ReAgent, which was founded in 1977 and supplies chemical products to customers worldwide, said the foundation reflects its long-standing focus on sustainability, community involvement and responsible business practices.
The company said the ReAgent Foundation will announce charitable partnerships, community projects and fundraising initiatives as it develops its programme of work.
