When Ranveer Singh got emotional as his mother recalled struggles, ‘He shielded us' during rejections

Ranveer Singh is currently riding high on the success of ‘Dhurandhar: The Revenge.’ However, an old video of the actor has now gone viral. In the clip, Ranveer is seen getting emotional as his mother recalls his early struggles. The actor, who is now delivering record-breaking numbers at the box office, once faced rejection and criticism during auditions.

Mother’s emotional words

During an appearance on Simi Garewal’s show, Ranveer’s mother Anju Bhavnani spoke about his difficult phase. She said, “He would just come home and say, ‘Mom. It is a bad day. But being a mother, you realize that he is upset about something. He would shield us from a lot of what he went through at that time. Now, when he is successful, he comes and tells us the stories about what he actually did, and he protected us at that point in time from all the pain and rejection and comments that he had to hear. After hearing what he has to say now, you realize how much he has actually struggled, and he has come a long way.”As she spoke, Ranveer was seen holding back tears.
