The Institute of Chartered Accountants of India (ICAI) has officially released the admit cards for the upcoming September 2026 CA Foundation and Intermediate examinations. These crucial documents became accessible to candidates on August 14, 2026, through the dedicated ICAI e-Services Portal. Aspiring chartered accountants must utilize their Self Service Portal (SSP) ID to securely log in and download their respective hall tickets.
The distribution of these admit cards is occurring in a phased manner, with the remaining candidates, particularly those enrolled in regional courses, anticipated to gain access by August 17, 2026. It is imperative that all candidates meticulously review the information printed on their hall tickets to ensure accuracy before presenting themselves for the examinations.
The schedule for the CA Intermediate examination session in September 2026 has been clearly outlined. All papers for the Intermediate level will be conducted in a single afternoon slot, specifically from 2:00 PM to 5:00 PM IST.
| Date | Examination |
|——————-|——————|
| September 1, 2026 | Group I — Paper 1 |
| September 3, 2026 | Group I — Paper 2 |
| September 6, 2026 | Group I — Paper 3 |
| September 8, 2026 | Group II — Paper 4 |
| September 10, 2026| Group II — Paper 5 |
| September 12, 2026| Group II — Paper 6 |
Parallel to the Intermediate examinations, the CA Foundation examinations are slated for specific dates in September 2026. Paper 1 will be held on September 2, Paper 2 on September 5, Paper 3 on September 7, and Paper 4 on September 9.
In the event of discrepancies with the information displayed on the hall ticket, candidates are advised on the appropriate course of action. It is important to note that the online correction window for the September 2026 examination forms, which was open from July 23 to July 25, 2026, has now closed. Consequently, operational details such as the examination centre, medium of examination, or the group selected cannot be altered through the automated correction link at this stage.
However, for errors pertaining to personal details such as the candidate’s name, photograph, or signature, a specific procedure must be followed. Candidates should print out their hall ticket, affix a recent passport-sized photograph in the designated area, and sign in the specified space. This amended printout then requires attestation by an ICAI member who holds the designation of a Chartered Accountant or by a Gazetted Officer. The attesting official must place their stamp across the affixed photograph and provide their membership or registration number. Candidates are required to present this attested admit card along with a valid government-issued photo identification at the examination centre.
For more complex discrepancies concerning the examination centre, group, or medium, candidates are explicitly instructed not to send physical letters or couriers to the ICAI headquarters. Instead, they must raise a formal ticket through the SSP Helpdesk, navigating to the “Exam Grievance/Discrepancy” section. Crucially, they must attach the original payment receipt or the receipt of their July correction submission as supporting documentation. This streamlined process ensures efficient handling of such concerns.
Looking ahead, for candidates preparing for the November 2026 CA Final examinations, the Board of Studies (Academic) will be conducting Mock Test Paper Series I from September 9 to September 21, 2026. Following this, Series II will be held from September 23 to October 5, 2026. Both series will be available in physical and virtual modes, offering valuable preparation opportunities. The final deadline for submitting online requests to surrender any exemptions is set for September 30, 2026.
