Ark Walworth Academy Celebrates "Exceptional" A-Level Success, Students Head to Top Universities and Apprenticeships

Walworth, London – Sixth formers at Ark Walworth Academy are once again celebrating an "exceptional" year of academic achievement, with students securing "outstanding" A-Level results last Friday. The impressive outcomes have paved the way for students to progress to a range of prestigious universities across the UK, while a record number have also secured highly sought-after degree-level apprenticeships.

The academy’s commitment to academic excellence is evident in the remarkable subject-specific performances. A staggering 40% of all Maths exams were awarded top grades of A or A*, highlighting the strength of the department. Furthermore, scores in Sociology, History, and English ranked within the top 10% nationally, showcasing the breadth of high-level achievement across the curriculum.

Beyond traditional academic pathways, vocational students at Ark Walworth Academy also demonstrated considerable success. "Strong" results in the IT Practitioner programme are enabling students to pursue further education in Computer Science, Software Engineering, and related degree programs at university, underscoring the academy’s dedication to providing diverse and impactful educational opportunities.

A number of individual students stood out for their remarkable achievements. Jack Wang, who achieved AAA in Physics, Maths, and Further Maths, will embark on a Physics degree at the University of Manchester. Imane Abbas, with straight A grades in Economics, Psychology, and Geography, is set to study International Social and Public Policy with Politics at the London School of Economics (LSE). Sofia Magnotta, who earned an impressive AAAB across four A-Levels, will be heading to University College London (UCL) in September. These students represent just a few examples of the talent nurtured at Ark Walworth Academy.

Among the top universities students will be attending are Durham, Bristol, Manchester, SOAS (School of Oriental and African Studies), and UCL, reflecting the competitive nature of their offers and the academy’s ability to prepare students for higher education at leading institutions. The increasing number of students securing degree-level apprenticeships also highlights the academy’s success in providing alternative, equally valuable, pathways to career success.

Principal Jessica West expressed immense pride in her students’ accomplishments. “We are immensely proud of our students and all they have achieved,” she stated. “These results are the culmination of years of hard work, resilience, and ambition. They reflect not only the commitment of our young people, but also the dedication of our staff and the unwavering support of families.”

She continued, emphasizing the holistic development fostered at the academy: “The students have embraced every opportunity available to them and leave Walworth Academy ready to make their mark on the world. We wish them every success in the exciting journeys ahead.”

The consistently outstanding A-Level results at Ark Walworth Academy demonstrate its unwavering dedication to fostering academic excellence and preparing its students for bright and successful futures, whether through university education or highly competitive apprenticeships.
