Poland to Deepen Strategic Ties with India: Defence Delegation and Trade Pact on the Agenda

NEW DELHI – In a significant move aimed at strengthening bilateral relations, a high-level Polish defence delegation is set to arrive in India next week. The visit marks a pivotal step in expanding the burgeoning security and strategic partnership between New Delhi and Warsaw.

The upcoming visit follows a series of high-level diplomatic dialogues aimed at aligning the two nations on critical geopolitical issues. Poland, which has been a vocal supporter of India’s global initiatives, is increasingly viewing New Delhi as a key strategic partner in the Indo-Pacific region. Ambassador Świtalski noted that negotiations are progressing with a sense of urgency, expressing his hope that the agreement will become "operational" by the end of the calendar year. He further emphasized that the trade pact should be complemented by a comprehensive investment protection agreement to foster a more secure and predictable environment for businesses in both regions.
