Urgent Appeal for Missing Teenager Last Seen in Swindon
Police forces in Derbyshire and Wiltshire have launched a joint appeal for information regarding the whereabouts of a missing 16-year-old girl, Leveah, who was last confirmed to be in Swindon.
Concerns for the teenager’s welfare are growing after she was spotted at the McDonald’s restaurant at Greenbridge Retail Park in Swindon at approximately 12:45 a.m. on Friday, August 21.
Authorities have provided a detailed description to assist the public in identifying her. Leveah is described as being 5ft 3ins tall with distinctive purple hair. When she was last seen, she was dressed in a black top and black shorts, wearing black Croc-style shoes, and carrying a small black handbag.
Investigating officers have been piecing together her movements throughout the week. Earlier, it was confirmed that she had been seen at the New Covenant Church on Matthews Lane in Levenshulme, Manchester, between 10:30 a.m. and 3:00 p.m. on Wednesday, August 19. From there, she reportedly traveled to Croydon in London before eventually arriving in the Swindon area.
A spokesperson for Derbyshire Police noted that there is reason to believe the teenager is currently in the company of another girl of a similar age and appearance.
"Anyone who has seen Leveah, or has any information about her current whereabouts, is asked to contact Derbyshire Constabulary including reference 1273-190826," a Wiltshire Police spokesperson said.
This missing Derbyshire teenager case remains a priority for both police departments. Those who wish to provide information but prefer to remain anonymous are encouraged to contact the independent charity CrimeStoppers at 0800 555 111 or via their website.
