According to the Independent Office for Police Conduct (IOPC), the fatal crash occurred approximately ten seconds after the police chase had officially come to an end, when the Passat collided with a marked police firearms unit.
Victims Identified
Authorities have released the names of the five individuals traveling in the Volkswagen Passat who lost their lives in the collision: Michael Robert Cahill (23), Theo Rae (17), Cole Robert Worthy (17), Jakub Matusiak (23), and Makai Saddington (18).
