Fractal Analytics Launches Dedicated India Business Unit to Scale Enterprise AI Adoption
Fractal Analytics has officially announced the launch of a dedicated India Business Unit (India BU), marking a strategic pivot to capture the surging demand for enterprise-grade artificial intelligence within the country. As Indian corporations and Global Capability Centres (GCCs) move beyond experimental AI pilots toward large-scale business transformation, Fractal aims to position itself as the primary partner for operationalizing AI-driven growth.
The company will spearhead this expansion with its flagship agentic AI platform, Cogentiq. By moving away from a traditional “services-only” model, Fractal is emphasizing its proprietary product portfolio to help large enterprises, public-sector organizations, and GCCs translate AI investments into measurable, real-world business outcomes.
A New Strategic Focus
Srikanth Velamakanni, co-founder, group CEO, and vice chairman of Fractal, highlighted that the timing for this expansion is critical. “We’ve seen an increase in interest from Indian enterprises looking to move beyond AI pilots and scale AI-driven transformation across their businesses,” Velamakanni noted. “This growing demand, combined with India’s rapidly evolving AI ecosystem, makes this the right time for us to establish a dedicated India Business Unit.”
The new unit will operate under the company’s APAC practice, led by Sandeep Dutta, Chief Practice Officer and Head of APAC. To drive the local mission, Fractal has appointed Rishi Seth as the head of the India Business Unit.
Dutta emphasized that the current market environment in India represents an “inflection point.” He stated, “Organisations are looking for trusted partners who can deliver business outcomes at scale rather than isolated technology deployments. Our combination of AI capabilities, products, and domain expertise positions us uniquely to support this transformation.”
Building on Proven Success
Fractal’s entry into the dedicated India market is not starting from scratch. The company has already established a footprint through several high-profile initiatives, including:
- The IndiaAI Mission: Fractal was selected to develop a Large Reasoning Model (LRM) specifically designed for the Indian context.
- Public Sector Innovation: The company has partnered with the Brihanmumbai Municipal Corporation (BMC) to deploy Vaidya.ai, India’s first healthcare-focused multimodal reasoning platform, aimed at improving citizen health services.
- GCC Engagement: Having already worked with numerous Global Capability Centres in India, Fractal has refined its ability to support the complex, large-scale requirements of multinational corporations operating within the region.
The Shift Toward Agentic AI
The introduction of the Cogentiq suite is a key differentiator in Fractal’s strategy. Unlike traditional AI tools, Cogentiq is framed as an “agentic” platform—designed to autonomously perform tasks and make decisions to achieve complex business goals.
As Indian enterprises transition toward enterprise-wide adoption, Fractal is betting that the demand for these sophisticated, autonomous systems will outpace the need for simple software installations.
