NTA Declares Joint CSIR-UGC NET June 2026 Results: Candidates Can Now Download Scorecards

The National Testing Agency (NTA) has officially released the results for the Joint CSIR-UGC NET June 2026 examination. Candidates who participated in the test can now access their individual scorecards by logging into the official portal, csirnet.nta.nic.in, using their registration credentials.

Exam Overview and Participation Statistics

The examination, which serves as a critical benchmark for candidates aspiring to pursue research and teaching positions, was conducted in a computer-based test (CBT) mode on July 17 and 18, 2026. The NTA successfully administered the test across 224 cities nationwide.

Out of 1,87,739 candidates who registered for the session, 1,50,057 actually appeared for the exam. Breaking down the demographics, female candidates comprised the largest group of participants, with 90,380 appearing for the test, compared to 59,675 male candidates and two third-gender participants.

Subject-Wise Breakdown

The assessment covered five primary disciplines. Reflecting historical trends, Life Sciences saw the highest engagement, with 67,650 candidates appearing for the exam. The distribution across subjects is as follows:

Life Sciences 83,546 67,650
Mathematical Sciences 31,574 24,964

Robust Verification Process

The release of the scores follows a comprehensive review process. Between August 16 and August 18, 2026, the NTA provided a window for candidates to challenge the provisional answer keys and review their recorded responses. These challenges were thoroughly scrutinized by a panel of subject matter experts. The final results are based on the finalized answer keys established after this expert review.

Next Steps for Candidates

The NTA has emphasized that the publication of scores is a milestone in the selection process. The eligibility criteria, self-declarations, and supporting documents provided by candidates will undergo further verification by the relevant authorities, in accordance with the regulations outlined in the Joint CSIR-UGC NET June 2026 information bulletin.

Candidates are encouraged to download and print their scorecards for their personal records and to remain vigilant for official notifications regarding the subsequent stages of the admission or eligibility determination process.
