According to data from industry tracker Sacnilk, Irumudi raked in an estimated Rs 12.30 crore net across India on its ninth day. This impressive figure represents a 21.8% growth compared to the Rs 10.10 crore recorded on Day 8. The film’s total domestic net collection now stands at Rs 114.55 crore, pushing its total worldwide gross to a staggering Rs 152.50 crore.
Telugu Version Dominates
The film’s dominance is largely driven by its Telugu-language release, which accounted for the vast majority of the Day 9 earnings with Rs 12.29 crore across 2,702 shows. The occupancy rates tell a story of growing interest throughout the day: while morning shows saw a solid 44.23% turnout, the numbers climbed steadily to reach an overwhelming 82.31% during night screenings. This trajectory reflects strong word-of-mouth and sustained interest from moviegoers.
State-wise, Andhra Pradesh and Telangana remain the heartbeat of the film’s financial success, generating Rs 12.75 crore in gross earnings on Saturday alone. Contributions from Karnataka (Rs 1.15 crore), Tamil Nadu (Rs 15 lakhs), and Kerala (Rs 1 lakh) further bolstered the day’s total intake.

The success of Irumudi has been a major talking point in the industry. Director Shiva Nirvana, reflecting on the project in a recent interview, highlighted the resilience and evolution of its lead actor. Addressing the cyclical nature of the film industry, Nirvana noted, “Ravi Teja garu has done 77 films over a career of 25 years. Everyone is bound to have hit films and average films. Irumudi is a blockbuster, and all this is a part of cinema.”
Nirvana added that the massive success of the film has energized the star to seek out new creative challenges. “Today, Ravi Teja garu is very happy and he feels he should explore different types of scripts,” the director shared.
