Visitors to Yorkshire Water’s reservoirs are being urged to keep themselves and local wildlife safe over the Easter weekend and May Bank Holidays.
People are asked to remember to take litter home, keep dogs on leads and not use disposable barbecues in order to keep animals and the natural environment safe.
Disposable barbecues are not permitted on any of the company’s 34 sites, with some covered by Public Space Protection Orders, meaning people could face fines.
Alastair Harvey, lead countryside and woodland adviser for Yorkshire Water, said: “We work hard to make the sites accessible and enjoyable for all visitors and it’s important people visiting leave the sites as they would like to find them.”
