The Medical Counselling Committee (MCC) has released the schedule for NEET SS counselling 2026 on its official portal, mcc.nic.in. Candidates who qualified the examination are required to participate in the counselling process conducted for admission to Super Speciality courses.According to the announced timeline, the registration window for round 1 counselling opens on March 10, 2026 and will remain available until March 15, 2026. The counselling process is conducted online for 50 per cent All India Quota seats, with seat allocation determined through candidates’ NEET SS rank, available seats and the preferences submitted during choice filling.Round 1 counselling schedule and reporting timelineThe first round of NEET SS counselling includes several stages beginning with registration and followed by choice filling, seat allotment processing and reporting to allotted institutions. Candidates who complete registration can submit and lock their course and college preferences through the MCC portal.The seat allotment list will be prepared after processing candidates’ submitted choices and their NEET SS scores. Registration procedure and fee detailsEligible candidates must log in to the MCC counselling portal and complete the online registration process by entering required personal and examination details. Information required includes candidate name, guardian name, NEET SS application number, roll number, score, date of birth, category and citizenship details.Applicants must also pay the counselling registration fee to complete the process. The non-refundable registration fee is Rs. 5,000, while a refundable security deposit of Rs. 2,00,000 is required. The total fee payable during registration is Rs. 2,05,000. Counselling rounds and seat allocation processNEET SS counselling 2026 will take place in three rounds: round 1, round 2 and a stray round. Candidates qualifying for All India Quota seats through their NEET SS rank are eligible for the first round.After the completion of round 1, vacant seats are offered in round 2. Fresh candidates, including those who did not register earlier or did not report after seat allotment, can register again. Candidates who opted for upgradation in the first round may directly submit fresh choices for round 2.The stray round is conducted for remaining vacant seats. However, candidates who have already joined or are holding seats from round 1 or round 2 of All India counselling, or those allotted seats through Tamil Nadu state counselling as in-service candidates, are not eligible for the stray round.
