Chapel House Estate in Minster has become a Certified B Corporation, joining a global community of businesses committed to using business as a force for good.

Certified by the non-profit B Lab, B Corporation status recognises companies that meet rigorous standards of social and environmental performance, accountability, and transparency.

The milestone marks a significant step in Chapel House Estate’s ongoing sustainability journey, reinforcing its commitment to responsible hospitality and long-term environmental stewardship.

Set across 35 acres of private countryside, Chapel House Estate is known for its blend of historic charm and contemporary design, offering weddings, private celebrations, and corporate events.

The team prioritises environmentally conscious practices, including habitat preservation, waste reduction, and the use of locally sourced and organic produce.

Becoming a Certified B Corporation, the first wedding and events venue in Thanet to do so, formally recognises the commitment to balancing profit with purpose, benefiting workers, communities and the environment.

Owner Darren Ellis said: “Achieving B Corp™ certification is a proud moment for our team and a reflection of our commitment to creating a venue that not only delivers exceptional experiences but also has a positive impact on the environment and our community.”

The certification builds on a series of recent achievements for the estate, including industry recognition as a leading wedding venue in the South East.

The Chapel House Estate team say there are ambitions to further reduce its environmental footprint and contribute positively to the local community and the rich biodiversity and wildlife of the estate.
