BigBang Announces 20th Anniversary World Tour at Coachella

TEMPO.CO, Jakarta – After nearly a decade of anticipation, the prospect of a new BIGBANG world tour no longer feels distant. Just last weekend, the legendary K-pop group emerged as the most talked-about non-headlining act at Coachella 2026, where G-Dragon, Taeyang, and Daesung delivered a commanding performance that transformed the Outdoor Theatre into a spectacle of sound and light.

The defining moment arrived toward the close of weekend two, when G-Dragon formally revealed plans for BIGBANG’s 2026 global tour. Framed as both a celebration and a turning point, the upcoming run will commemorate the group’s 20th debut anniversary while signaling what the members described as a “reset,” according to The Hollywood Reporter.

In the immediate aftermath, G-Dragon offered fans a glimpse of what lies ahead, confirming an August launch window. While key details remain tightly under wraps, early expectations point to a sweeping itinerary across Asia, Europe, and North America.

Notably, the group has not toured as a complete unit since their 2017 Last Dance run, making this announcement feel less like a nostalgic return and more like a full-scale revival.

Industry reports from Forbes and News18 suggest the tour will carry the tentative title BIGSHOW: REBORN. Bolstered by the euphoric reception of their Coachella appearance, BIGBANG appears poised to command global arenas once again.

BIGBANG’s set on weekend two unfolded as a near mirror of their explosive debut set. The performance also served as a long-awaited return, making up for their canceled 2020 Coachella appearance.

Positioned among the festival’s final acts, the group followed Karol G’s headlining set and stormed the stage with “Bang Bang Bang” and “Fantastic Baby,” instantly igniting the crowd.

Moments after the announcement, the trio closed their set on a reflective note, delivering a final performance of “Still Life,” to mark the end of their time on stage.
