CNBC halted for breaking news as Trump makes startling health confession | TV & Radio | Showbiz & TV

Donald Trump made a worrying health admission live on CNBC as he compared himself to former president Joe Biden. The US president, who turns 80 in a handful of months, said he has to “be careful” after accusing Biden of “falling all over the place”, and can’t rush himself when it comes to walking down flights of stairs.

CNBC anchor Joe Kernen was speaking to Trump via phone-in about the Iran war, and asked him: “Are the Saudis impatient now, or do they want- are they on the other side?” Referring to Saudi Arabia’s Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman, Trump said: “Well he’s another great guy, he gave me the famous line that I use a little bit, he said, ‘A year and a half ago, sir, you were a dead country – now you’re the hottest country anywhere in the world’.

“He said that to me, and it’s true. We were a dead country, we had a guy that wasn’t respected, we had a country that was laughed at.

Trump then got candid about his own physical health, admitting: “I have to be careful, ‘cause if I do trip or fall, it’s gonna be the biggest… and this is why when I get out of those planes I walk nice and slowly, I’m not looking to set any speed records.

“But we had an embarrassing country, we had a country that was going to fail. This country would have failed if I didn’t win this election, I’ll tell you that.

“I’ve had many people tell me that. Many people that aren’t necessarily of the Republican persuasion, or MAGA.”
