Police statement after incident in Bodmin park:
- Police are carrying out enquiries into a reported incident at a park where children were chased and one child was hit with a stone. Police received reports of the incident at Priory Park in Bodmin on Sunday, May 2.
- Three children were chased out of the park by a group of young people, police said. A young girl had a stone thrown at her leg, which caused a cut.
- Police said enquiries into the incident are ongoing.
- A spokesperson for Devon and Cornwall Police said: “We have been made aware of a reported incident in Priory Park, Bodmin, on the afternoon of Saturday 2 May. During the incident three children were chased out of the park by another group of young people.
- The spokesperson continued: “One of the three children had a stone thrown at her leg, causing a cut. Enquiries are ongoing.”
